WAYNE

If Wayne beats Northmont, they are in good shape for the #2 seed in Region 4. If they lose to Northmont, they are in the mix with Colerain, Glen Este, and Lakota East for the #4-#7 spots in the Region.

UPDATES THIS WEEKEND

I've updated my projections with the updated scores from tonight's games, but will not put up my projections until the Saturday night games are completed. This is what I can tell you now:
  • Wayne and Glen Este are in the playoffs
  • St. Xavier can clinch the #1 seed with a win on Saturday night and a Moeller loss to Lakewood St. Edward or a St. Xavier win over Cleveland St. Ignatius.
  • Colerain, Glen Este, and Lakota East are still battling it out for the final home playoff seed
  • Moeller, LaSalle and Mason are now fighting it out for the #8 spot, instead of the #7 and #8 spots due to the Wayne and Glen Este wins tonight.

PREP SPORTS PRIMETIME

I will be a guest on Prep Sports Primetime today (Thursday) on 1360 Homer, The Sports Animal. Prep Sports Primetime is a weekly high school football radio show that airs each Thursday from 6:00pm-7:00pm live from Champions Grille in the heart of the west side. Host Sean O'Connor and commentators Tom Kennedy, Steve Bengel, and Micah Peavley break down the prior week's games and analyze the key games in the upcoming weekend. Tonight we will be discussing the Harbin races and the key remaining games that will shape the Region 4 playoff field. Come and join us tonight at Champions or tune your radio to The Sports Animal.

Thanks,

JK

UPDATE

With three weeks left in the regular season, it is a little too early to get real specific about where teams will end up. There are too many variables left that could bump one team up a spot while others could knock another team down a playoff spot. I would love to go through the different scenarios that readers come up with, because they could be more accurate than what I think will happen. However with work and a full college schedule, I don't have the free time that I've had in past years. If you have any comments or questions, just drop me a comment, and I'll take a good look at them when doing my updates.

Thanks,

JK
